So this argument goes around the internet quite a lot, Facebook Vs Twitter, but I thought it would be a great subject to practice my writing on. People always say to their friends 'Come join Twitter' or 'I just joined Facebook, are you on?'
But which is the better social media? Heres a few pointless features about each one.
So recently Facebook has been getting more and more updates on a more regular basis, but what does this do for you? Well if you are in a band it will not help you thats for sure. Facebook seems to be making it harder after every update to promote your music and band page through Facebook.
You can see this happen on many pages, quite a lot of band pages will have 10K+ likes on Facebook and will only receive around 10% interaction.
For example, Cinema Blend have over 1.2 million likes on Facebook, but when they post about things like Star Wars which is trending at the moment, they get a great response, but nothing like what you would expect from a page with that many likes.
Anyway, Facebook is the only place I can think of where you will find pages like these below:
Only on Facebook will you see people joining a page that says not to like the page, and this isn't the only page like this, I found plenty of pages that were things like ''Do Not Like this Page or You Will Die'' with over 1,000 likes, this page above with 7,801 likes, and then Justin Beiber with over 76 MILLION likes!
Only on Facebook will you ever see endless notifications about who is inviting you to Farm Ville, or Candy Crush.
So what is different with Twitter?
Twitter
Twitter is funnier than Facebook in its own little way, it is the only place where you can tweet a company (because messaging is over rated and not very social) and they will reply back with a funny reply.
I follow both Tesco & Tesco Mobile just because they are hilarious with their replies to customers, Aldi also did the famous Black Friday tweet also.
On a more serious note though, twitter can be the place where companies give you great customer service for your items you purchased in store or maybe electronics you purchased online, mainly because you are showing the Twitter world that they have a faulty product, I can't be sure.
Twitter has a lot of this Meme worthy-ness going on that I actually think they are paying certain companies to do this stuff because it is always going around Facebook, which is Twitter main competition of course, and has been for many years now, ever since Twitter emerged really.
There is no real winner out of these two Social Media giants really, they both have their uses and although Twitter seems to be a great place to interact with big bands and huge companies, Facebook is more down to earth with the smaller people. Getting likes on a page called 'Microwave' or maybe a 'Die if you don't share' post.
Let me know what you guys think, Twitter or Facebook? Post some memes about Facebook too as I struggled to find them. And make sure you follow me :)
